Welcome and thank you for being a part of this year’s 170th Old Settlers Celebration! We are pleased to welcome vendors back for the 2025 season. We are very excited for the journey we are about to embark on together and appreciate all your time and patience it took getting here. Our team has put together this packet for you to ensure you have all the information you need and that our day-to-day operations run as smoothly as possible. Please take your time to carefully read over the information we have provided. If you have any questions in the future, please refer to this packet which will be discussed in detail below.
170th Old Settlers Celebration will begin Thursday August 7th and continue through Saturday August 9th around the Delphi Courthouse Square. Vendors for Old Settlers will be located on Washington St.
Check in time for vendors is between 10am and 2pm Thursday August 7th, at the Delphi Main Street Booth, on the corner of Washington and Main St. All booths will need to face toward the center of the street as shoppers will approach from the center. Vendors can load and unload at their assigned space but must park off the square for the duration of the event. Port-a-Potties are located in the alley off of Washington street.
Event Policies and Code of Conduct
The primary purpose of this Code of Conduct is to ensure the well-being of all participants and create a safe and welcoming environment for all. Our goal is to serve our community with love and respect and sponsor an event that will benefit both the vendors and customers.
Respect and adhere to all rules established by the Delphi Main Street organization.
Comply with applicable town laws and ordinances.
Not willingly deceive or exploit customers.
Treat everyone with respect – Rude, violent, aggressive, uncooperative, belligerent, or threatening behavior towards others will not be tolerated.
Under no circumstances attend or participate in the Old Settlers Celebration under the influence of alcohol and/or controlled substances.

Market Location and Schedule and Requirements:
The Old Settlers Celebration will operate Thursday from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Fish Fry opens at 4pm), Friday from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM, and Saturday 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Vendor Types and Requirements:
The following items are not permitted to be sold at Old Settlers due to contract agreements - cotton candy, funnel cakes, elephant ears, lemonade, shake-ups, caramel corn, butterscotch corn, Italian sausage, cornbread dogs, curly fries, ribbon fries, deep fried candy bars and/or deep fried cookies. By signing up, I agree to not sell the aforementioned items. Any violation could warrant removal from the event, and expulsion from participation in the future.
Each Approved Vendor must sign up and pay vendor fees before the day of the event. All Edible items must comply with current health department regulations and standards – https://www.in.gov/localhealth/carrollcounty/food-services/ Per CC DOH- Any food vendor should have a document on table and visible to public that reads: “This product is home produced and processed and the production area has not been inspected by the State Department of Health.”
Vendors must be able to provide documentation of all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals.
Grown/Collected Goods Vendor: Includes but not limited to fruits, vegetables, dried and fresh herbs, spices, seeds, cultured mushrooms, plants, flowers, potpourri, honey, maple syrup, eggs, un-popped popcorn, flour, and ground grains
Grown/Processed Goods Vendor: Processed food items made from items grown/processed by the vendor, including but not limited to baked goods, spices, jams, jellies, frozen fruits, relishes, cider, dried fruits and vegetables, salsa, frozen/preserved meat and dairy products are permitted for sale.
Prepared Food Vendor: Preparing and selling food at the Market is permitted, but must follow all health department guidelines and have proper permits/documentation. Edible items intended for human consumption must comply with current health department standards and regulations. All edible goods must be safe for human consumption. The vendor is solely responsible for any damages resulting from the sale of unsound and unsafe goods. If Delphi Main Street determines that a vendor is offering unsafe products, Delphi Main Street may require the vendor to
(1) remove low quality or unsafe items or (2) vacate the market.
Arts/Crafts Vendor: Items must be safe, have reasonable life expectancy, and exhibit quality and craftsmanship.
Community and Social-Political Groups: Delphi Main Street allows non-profit organizations and community information groups to have space at Old Settlers Celebration.
Vendor Spaces/Set Up and Tear Down: Vendor Spaces will be assigned by the Vendor Manager and a space will be given to you upon arrival of the event.
Equipment: Vendors must supply all required equipment for operating but will not exceed the width of his/her designated stall space. This includes products, tents, tables, and displays. Items may not be sold out of the back of a vehicle.

Electricity and/or water will only be provided on site for vendors who paid.
If a tent or shelter is used, it must be weighed down by 10lbs per tent leg to anchor it. No ground stakes will be allowed for tents or shelters.
Vendors can begin setting up between 10am- 2pm August 7th and are required to stay throughout the entirety of the event. Vendors will not be allowed to tear down early. Washington street will be blocked off. You’ll only be able to enter and leave through the entrance on Washington and Main Street. Delphi Main Street Volunteers will be there to let you in and take you to your assigned space.
Please contact the Vendor Manager if you are not unable to attend the Old Settlers Celebration at the last minute or will be late due to unforeseen circumstances.
Vendors are required to clean up after themselves and make sure their assigned space is trash free.
Parking Requirements
Vendors must park off the square for the duration of the event.
Weather Procedures:
The safety of everyone present at the Old Settler Celebration is of primary importance. Potentially threatening weather will be monitored and vendors will be informed if we believe vendors or attendees are in danger.
In the event of inclement weather, vendors will be notified and safety procedures will be followed. In the event of an emergency closing please secure your tent/produce as quickly as possible and seek shelter.
It is possible the Old Settler Celebration will reopen if the weather clears in time and no permanent damage has been done.
Violations/Non-Compliance:
Unsafe or illegal conduct will not be tolerated and you will immediately be asked to leave and future involvement at the Old Settlers Celebration will not be approved. No vendor fees will be refunded.
If codes of conduct are broken, Delphi Main Street has the right to ask a vendor to leave the premises at that time or can decide not to approve the vendor in future events.
Grievance:
Our goal is to communicate often and openly. If you have any concerns or grievances, please reach out to the Vendor Manager/Volunteers to discuss matters and work to find a solution.
Indemnification:
Each vendor at the Old Settlers Celebration agrees to fully indemnify, hold harmless, release, waive, and forever discharge Delphi Main Street, The City of Delphi, and its agents and employees; and the Vendor Manager for all bodily and personal injury, including resulting in death, and property damage, claims, actions, damages, liabilities and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs, which may occur as a result of vendor’s participation in the Old Settler Celebration, whether or not sounding in tort or contract, and whether or not caused by neglect act or omission of the City of Delphi and its agents, employees and Vendor Manager.
